Friday Night Fights [Round 10]

Welcome back fight fans, to Sin City Nevada for another “sweep the leg” edition of Friday Night Fights!  This week’s bout is a demolition derby featuring famous T.V. show recreational vehicles; it’s the meth-wagon vs. the zombie slayer.  Purist trigger warning: both models contain painted Lego elements.  Without further preamble, let’s go to the tale of the tape.

Fighting out of the red corner, from scenic Randbøldal Denmark, it’s “Murderin” Misterzumbi and his “1973 Winnebago Chieftain“.

And fighting out of the blue corner, from zee fatherland, it’s Alex “The Assassin” Jones and “Breaking Bad”.

As usual, constant reader, you are tasked with deciding the outcome of this pugilistic endeavor and determine who will receive a week’s worth of bragging rights.  Simply leave a comment below and vote for the MOC that best suits your individual taste. I will tally up the votes next Friday and declare a winner before announcing the next bout.

Last Week, on Friday Night Fights….

It was the battle of Metro Nui, where only one hulking bio-mechanical menace was left standing when the dust cleared.  In the end,  Vampirebohrok II, and “The Hermit” scored a 8-2 victory over  Gamma-Raay, and his “Makuta“.  Vampirebohrok records his first win and improves his record to (1-0) while Gamma-Raay falls to (0-1).

  1. I prefer the front end of “1973 Winnebago Chieftain“. It’s far more interesting. However, I’m going to have to go with “Breaking Bad” on this one. I mean the fact that the front end is so ugly reminds me how ugly Winnebago’s are in general. So the depressing shabby block of vehicle billowing chemicals into the desert is a great representation of the TV show. Love the blue boxes of product too.

  2. Going with the Chieftain on this one. It just screams Winnie. Orion’s front view need more refinement. Even though Breaking Bad was one of the best things to happen to TV in decades.

  3. Alex Jones has way better windows, but they’re hard to notice with that eyesore of a front. The Chieftan doesn’t make any similar glaring missteps and the windshield wipers and roof details are on-point. This isn’t much of an influence on my vote, but the focus, angle, lighting, and background choice are also way better on the latter. I vote Chieftan.

  4. Goin’ with the Chieftain. As a fairly strict purist myself, the painted ice cream scoops in Breaking Bad bother me more than the stickers in the Chieftain. I don’t see any painted parts in the Chieftain (unless it’s the umbrella), am I overlooking something?

  5. I find it intriguing how often the comments section will change my first opinion… but not this time. I vote Chieftain. The hands on the mirrors are money, I love that detail.

  6. I think the Chieftain looks good from every angle, but Breaking Bad looks a little to narrow to me. I also appreciate what Breaking Bad tried to do for the front windscreen, but I think the Chieftain’s just looks much more natural. I vote Blue

  7. I love Breaking Bad, but the Chieftain is more visually appealing. I like the contrast between hard angles and curves, and the windshield is handled better.
